Lesson 01 :  Concession (Although ,though ,even though ,despite the fact ,in spite the fact that /inspite of ,despite)

1-Although ,though ,even though ,despite the fact ,in spite the fact that

تعريف :  ومعناها بالعربية بالرغم/رغم ان  وتاتي  لتعكس معنيين في الجملة .

موقعها في الجملة قد تأتي في بداية الجملة او وسط الجملة

شكلها :  +lthough ,….. ,in spite the fact that+subject +verb+the rest  ,Subject +verb +the rest

Subject +verb+the rest+ Although,….. , in spite the fact that +Subject +verb +the rest

امثلة :the car was expensive .My friend bought it  

   (Although,….., in spite the fact that) the car was expensive, my friend bought it.

My friend bought the car (Although,….., in spite the fact that) it was expensive

2-inspite of ,despite:

تعريف :  ومعناها بالعربية بالرغم/رغم ان  وتأتي  لتعكس معنيين في الجملة .

موقعها في الجملة قد تأتي في بداية الجملة.

Inspite of, despite+Noun phrase or gerund (verb +ing )       شكلها:

امثلة1: Rania was sicking ,she went to school(despite /inspite of )

                                            Despite her sicking, Rania went to school.

Inspite of being sick, Rania went to school.

امثلة2:the governement stopped the criminals .People are scaring

                     Despite the government stopping the criminals, people are scaring

Inspite of stopping the criminals, people are scaring.

 

 

 

 

 Lesson 2:Expressing differences.

في اللغة الانجليزية نستعمل unlike عل عكس/  ,while,whereasبينما / in contrast to  على عكس  /  butلكن   للتعبير عن تضاد المعاني في الجملة .

امثلة /Sami is short ,Rami is tall سامي قصير, رامي طويل

Unlike Sami ,Rami  is tall                    Rami is tall while Sami is short

Rami is tall but Sami is short              Rami is tall, whereas Sami is short

ملاحظة : like معناها مثل وتستعمل لتساوي معنيين في الجملة مثال :Rami is tall like Sami
