Coversation between me and my grandmother about the life in the past

حوار بيني وبين جدتي بالانجليزية  حول الاختلافات بين الحياة في الحاضر والماضي

the dialogue 

Me : Hello ,grandma ,how are you ?

My grandma:Fine my dear , and you ?

Me : Fine ,today I need your help in my project about your life in the past .

My grandma Ok ,my sweetheart it’s my pleasure .

Me : Ok ,first when and where you born ?

My grandma :Iwas born in 1938 in DJURDJURA ‘s mountains in small farmhouse .

Me: in mountain? How did you live there?

My grandma: We were 3 brothers and mother and my father .There was two rooms, I used to sleep with my brothers in one room and we used to use the burning wood to warm.

Me: So, did you use to go to school?

My grandma: No, my sweetheart because in that time because the schools were just in towns, so that .it was far and there was not transport like now .So I learnt house works early I used to make cloths and feed animals like cows, ships and chickens and raise animals ,we used to grow vegetables because we didn’t have supermarkets like now also we use to eat just traditional dishes like couscous, Mbardja,Beghrir ,Matoe ….etc we mad it in houses .

Me: What about cloths .What did you use to wear ?

My grandma :We used to wear a long dresses in house and “EL HAYEK” in out of the house and men used to wear EL BARNOUS ,EL GANDOURA ,KASHABIA …etc and we rarely buy new cloths because we made it buy our hands .

Me:Oh ,my grandma your life was very difficult .But in other side it was simple and healthy life thank you so much.

My grandma: Yes .yes (laughing ) you’re welcome .

Diffreces between the life in the past and the present

وصف الاختلافات بين الماضي والحاضربالانجليزية 

        There are a big differences between the life in the past and

 currently life .

         In the past ,people didn’t use to eat fast food like Pizza

 ,Chawarma ,Humberger …etc ,but they used to eat traditional dishes

 like Chakhchoukha ,Mbardja ,Beghrir …etc .And they used to wear

 cloths which made by their hands like Bernous ,Kachabia ,Sriwal …

etc .But now people wear short dresses ,jeans ,suits …etc .

    In last time, people used to use animals to travel like Camels,

 horses, donkeys because there wasn’t cars, trains or planes or buses

 like at our time.

Even children used to play ragdolls, hopscotch, marbles…etc while

 now children prefer playing video games, footballs, basketball or

 computer games …etc

          In the fact , the life in the past was difficult but in the same

 time it was simple and funny .
